In a high-scoring match that saw a record 662 runs being scored, the West Indies, chasing 338 for victory, were in the hunt till the final over but some fine fielding thwarted them from victory. They lost by 14 runs in the first one-day international of the four-match series in Nagpur on Sunday.
Kudos to the Prince of Calcutta for his superb knock of 98. To be frank enough, I ain't a fan of Sourav Ganguly, but I am for sure a fan of cricket. But what really needs to be appreciated is the die-hard committment in him to be back in the team. Of course, performance matters and he has proved his mettle.
