Five Point Someone

Not even in my wildest dreams did I ever think that books tend to have such strong fields of magnetic attraction that virtually attracts anything that’s remotely human. When it comes to reading books, comics have always been my area of interest, be it the Adventures of Tintin, Asterix series, Tinkle, virtually any book stuffed with good storyboarding and illustration.

But when it comes to novels and short stories, my eye twitches like anything, signaling a big no-no. What a pity!!! It took me 25 years to realize how wrong I was. They say, better late than never.

Was cleaning the room the other day (believe me, I was) when I happened to spot something at the far corner of the attic. And Lo!!! At the far corner, lying shabbily like a drunkard was this short novel, Five Point Someone. Few bangs here and there to get rid of the dust on the book and the already panicking silverfishes, scooting off for their lives. Bravo me... hehehe..

With five hours a day of classes and rest of the time sitting idle for the time being (waiting for my new PC to start off with the practicals), I thought of just walloping through the book. Jeez…. Awesome stuff. A story set in the IIT campus, a fast-paced one. It hardly took me a day or two to finish off this one, and eagerly awaiting to get hold of its sister novel, One night @the call center.

Books are like food to be heartily enjoyed, I wish to be a glutton.
