If you think your dinner at a star hotel was expensive, then wait until you try The Fortress Aquamarine. The dessert below called The Fortress Aquamarine being sold at a restaurant in Sri Lanka costs a whopping $14,500, undeniably being the world's most expensive dessert.








Inspired by another gem-studded treat, the Bombay Sapphire Martini, the dessert consists of an 80-carat aquamarine gem (the one down below) that sits on a sliver of chocolate shaped to look like the resort’s logo. For a mammoth $14,500 (not including the handmade glass utensils), diners can keep the gemstone after finishing their treat.



The two below costing over $1,000 are ranked as the second and third most expensive desserts. It consists of an 80 carat aquamarine gem and some chocolate.

Massive Biceps

Introducing the world's biggest biceps, the biggest biceps in the world! This guy's biceps are huge!! The guy's name is Greg Valentino and he has (unofficially) the biggest biceps in the world. But building the world's biggest biceps is not an easy task! Greg has been working his huge biceps for over 20 years.

Greg has the world's biggest biceps and biggest arms at over 28 inches! (70cm!) My... my... my... on a comparitative basis, that's more than my waist size.... ahem.. ahem..... the high 27-ish inches or closer should I say..

The Biggest & Hungriest Machines

The biggest moving machine built by humans would be the giant bucket wheel excavator "Bagger 288" built by Krupp in Germany in 1978.



This enormous mining machine (300 meters long, weight: 45,500 tons) is capable of moving on its treads to the various open-air mine locations. The last such epic transition happened in 2001, when it crawled from one mine to the other - across 22 kilometers of fields, roads, railway crossings, villages and countryside... As it could not go around the obstacles, it headed in a straight line, so the workers prepared the way by piling up sand cushions on top of highways and train tracks, removing power-lines and seeding the fields with special grass to make its progress smoother.

It took them 3 weeks to move it. Once in place it started to bite into the coal, rock and earth with the vengeance...

World's Largest Ship

World's Largest Cargo Ship. Get a load of this ship! 15,000 containers and a 207 inch beam !!!!!! And look at the crew size for a ship longer than a US aircraft carrier which has a complement of 5,000 men and officers.

Think it's big enough? Notice that 207 inch beam means it was not designed for the Panama or Suez Canal. It is strictly TransPacific. Check out the "cruise speed". 31 knots means the goods arrive 4 days before the typical container ship (18-20 knots) on a China-to-California run. So this behemoth is hugely competitive carrying perishable goods.

This ship was built in three, perhaps as many as five sections. The sections floated together and then welded. The ship is named Emma Maersk. The command bridge is higher than a 10 store building and has 11 crane rigs that can operate simultaneously.

Strage but True!!!!

Henry Ziegland thought he had dodged fate. In 1883, he broke off a relationship with his girlfriend who, out of distress, committed suicide. The girl's brother was so enraged that he hunted down Ziegland and shot him. The brother, believing he had killed Ziegland, then turned his gun on himself and took his own life. But Ziegland had not been killed. The bullet, in fact, had only grazed his face and then lodged in a tree. Ziegland surely thought himself a lucky man.


Some years later, however, Ziegland decided to cut down the large tree, which still had the bullet in it. The task seemed so formidable that he decided to blow it up with a few sticks of dynamite. The explosion propelled the bullet into Ziegland's head, killing him.

Two moons!!!!

I am not sure if this is happening for real or just a trivial joke being passed around, but this coming 27th of August 2007, at 12.30 AM, look up the sky. You will see 2 moons. Believe it or not, up to you.

Starting August, planet Mars will be the brightest in the night sky. It will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. This will cultivate on Aug. 27 when Mars comes within 34.65M miles of earth. Be sure to watch the sky on Aug. 27 12:30 am . It will look like the earth has 2 moons. The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287.

P.S. Please don't shower any mighty curses on this poor chap if it turns out to be a hoax...

Hi fellas. Check this out. I have already posted an article related to his works. Here are a few more.... simply superb. His art is extremely unique and very amazing. This guy makes his paintings on the footpaths and pavements but when you look at them from a certain angle, they appear to be 3D !!! And in some cases they are just lifelike!



Looks like someone put a 3D globe in the middle of the road! But this is actually painted on the road in such a stretched manner that when viewed from this angle, It look 3D!

Swiss company Caran d'Ache made 'La Modernista Diamonds' a pen that was sold in Harrods, London, for $265,000.

Created in memory of architect Antonio Gaudi, the rhodium-coated solid silver pen has an 18-karat gold pen point and is pave-set with 5,072 diamonds and 96 half-cut rubies .

The Millau Viaduct (French: le Viaduc de Millau) is a cable stayed road bridge that spans the valley of the River Tarn near Millau in southern France. It was formally opened on 14 December 2004 and opened to traffic on 16 December 2004. Designed by British master-architect Lord Foster in collaboration with French bridge engineer Michel Virlogeux, it is the tallest vehicular bridge in the world, with one piers summit at 1,118 ft (341 metres), slightly higher than the Eiffel Tower and only 132 ft (40 m) shorter than the Empire State Building.

The Millau Viaduct consists of an eight-span steel roadway supported by seven concrete piers. The roadway weighs 36,000 metric tons and is 2,460 m (8,071 ft) long, measuring 32 m (105 ft) wide by 4.2 m (13.8 ft) deep. The six central spans each measure 342 m (1,122 ft) with the two outer spans measuring 204 m (670 ft). The roadway has a slight slope of 3% descending from south to north, and curves in plan section on a 20 km (12.4 mile) radius to give drivers better visibility. It carries two lanes of traffic in each direction.

The Burj al-Arab is a luxury hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. At 321 metres (1,053 feet), it is the tallest building used exclusively as a hotel. It stands in the sea on an artificial island 280 metres (919 feet) away from the beach in the Persian Gulf, connected to the mainland only by a private curving bridge.

The Burj al-Arab does not have ordinary rooms; rather it is divided into 202 duplex suites. The smallest suite occupies an area of 169 square metres (1,819 square feet), and the largest one covers 780 square metres (8,396 square feet). It is one of the most expensive hotels in the world to stay in. The prices for the least expensive suites are in the range of $1,000 to over $6,000 a night. The most expensive suites can cost over $15,000 a night.

Just a walk around the hotel would cost you $60. Anyone hearin me....

Dancing HouseHere's a building that should really get your attention when walking past it. The Dancing House is considered as one of the more real controversial buildings in Prague. The DH was actually designed by a great architect from California, which only proves that he had done some type of hallucinogen while designing it.


Robot BuildingThe Bank of Asia is a very famous building in Bangkok. It was made way back in 1985, and it's robotic appearance is just a symbol of the modernization of banking. It also has the ability to transform into a mega-robot. So, if Godzilla ever decided to show his green face in the land of Bangkok, they would have to fight!

The Wilson Hall
This somewhat modernized building was actually built between 1971 and 1974. It's unique design gives the Wilson Hall a great sense of structure, and a prominent landmark for the skyline. The building provides big laboratories, offices, and supports space for over 1,500 scientists. And it houses all kinds of strange experiments.

135 Degree Angle

This bizarre house really doesn't have an official name, but it does have a 135 degree angle. So that's what we're going to call it. Unfortunately, the only info we have about this house is that it was built in China or Japan. And that it has a silly pink roof. And if you look real close, you'll notice that it's on a 135 degree damn angle.

This hotel's unique design was directly inspired by the traditional temples in Japan. The Tokyo Sofitel has over 72 rooms, and 11 suites with 3 non-smoking floors. And 5 meeting rooms that includes high-tech boardrooms. Please realize that you have to sell your soul in order to step foot inside this amazing hotel.

Triangle Building

We wonder what type of work goes on inside this kind of a building. The unofficial Triangle Building is just a wonder to look at and to ponder over. But, can this be one of the evil headquarters for Scientology or Starbucks? Does this building have triangle bathrooms? There's so many questions!

The Astra Haus

The strange building is actually a brewery in Hamburg, Germany. The floors can move up or down on it's skinny column core. As of now, the unique building has been destroyed. One of it's more famous beer brands was recently bought by a big refreshment corporation. And that beer brand was called Astra.

Take a journey into the unknown with a building called Wonder Works. It's central Florida's only upside down attraction. And an amusement park for your mind, and your stoner friends. This odd building has over 100 wacky interactive exhibits for your entire family to experience.

Crooked House
You know that your looking at a real building right? The Crooked House was built in 2004 as an addition at a popular shopping center, and is a major tourist attraction in Sopot, Poland. We just wonder what happens when someone who's under a controlled substance sees this building for the first time in their life.
