This is pretty amazing. In World War II, the Army Corps of Engineers were so worried about a Japanese attack on the Lockheed Burbank Aircraft Plant, they protected it by camouflaging acres with netting and fake plants and houses. The effect is pretty cool. The whole base and its surroundings were camouflaged with nets and paint to appear like any other Burbank suburb from the air.
