Ooh Aah India, Aaja India

Well.... it's curtains for Team India. The only task for them to accomplish right now is to pack their bags and board the flight. Kudos to the team for their spineless batting performance throughout the order, lackluster bowling, and below par fielding. Well, don't categorize me as one of the staunchest critic nagging around like an idiot, well, I love cricket, come what may, I still support Team India.

But mistakes are mistakes, and no compromises on them. The damage has already been done. Rather than trying to find fault with one another, it's best to sit and analyze try finding out what went wrong, and take the necessary steps.

What's even more disgusting is the way the uncanny hooplas/hypes created around by the media, polls and all sort of garbage as to sack whom and whom not. Cricket is regarded not just as a game but as a religion in the subcontinent. The cricket-crazy fans are very sensitive to various emotions, changes and the likes. Fans who idolize players and adore them, on the flip side, the very same could be subject to condemnations.

Well, a friend of mine had forwarded this hillarious article, I just couldn't ignore posting it and sharing it with you. Of course in the name of cricket, don't term this as an act of vandalism or hooliganism by any nature.

Funeral

A man was leaving a cafe with his morning coffee when he noticed amost unusual funeral procession. A funeral coffin was followed by a second one about 50 feet behind the first. Behind the second coffin was a solitary man walking with a black dog. Behind him was a queue of 200 men walking in single line. The man couldn't stand his curiosity.

He approached the man walking with the dog, "I am so sorry for your loss, and I know now is a bad time to disturb you, but I've never seen a funeral like this with so many of you walking in single line. Whose funeral is it?"

The man replied, "Well, that first coffin is for my wife." The inquisitive man asked, "What happened to her?" The man replied, "My dog attacked and killed her." He inquired further, "Well, who is in the second coffin?"

The man answered, "My mother-in-law. She was trying to help my wife when the dog attacked and killed her also." A thoughtful moment of silence passes between the two men. Then the first one asks in excitement "Can I borrow the dog?"

The man replied "Please join the queue."

Last Name

A lady manager of a large office hired a new sales representative.
"What is your name?" was the first thing she asked the new guy.
"John," the new guy replied.
She scowled, "Look... I don't know what kind of a namby-pamby place you worked in before, but I don't call anyone by their first name. It breeds familiarity and that leads to a breakdown in authority. I refer to my employees by their last name only ... Smith, Jones, Baker ... that's all. I am to be referred to only as Mrs. Robertson. Now that we got that straight, what is your last name?"
The new guy sighed, "Darling. My name is John Darling."
"Okay John, the next thing I want to tell you is . . ."

The Air Car!!

A car that runs on air could soon be a reality for Indians. Tata Motors has signed an agreement with Moteur Development International of France to develop a car that runs on compressed air, thus making it very economical to run and be almost totally pollution free. Although there is no official word on when the car will be commercially manufactured for India, reports say that it will be sooner than later.

The car -- MiniCAT -- could cost around Rs 350,000 in India and would have a range of around 300 km between refuels. The cost of a refill would be about Rs 90.
Click here to read more on it....

My take on it.... just on a lighter note...all these days, I was happily going around breathing as much as I can like a snorting bull until my lungs get stuffed with air. Lucky for me the 2007-08 Budget just got over. You never know, one fine day you would be forced to shell out that fresh crisps of paper in the name of "Air Tax" courtesy of course the article mentioned above. Psst... psst...just between us, am doing a crash course from the prestigious University of Assumification and Dingolfication of Fumigation (sic - dictionary of Antz), and I can forsee a scenario, the day where we stand in never-ending queues with our nostrils wide open ready to be refueled at the so-called Oxygen Bunks....
The above paragraph might sound nonsensical to many (no harm in accepting the fact.. it is.. teehee). Switching gears, say for instance, Indians built REVA, an electric car, the first of its kind. How many have we seen it on the road. I am quite good in maths, can count till ten without any hiccups. I could figure out only two of them chugging lazily along. The hype and media attention created both pre-launch and at the time of launch was amazing, but even before REVA could make a mark, it was already dumped into the junkyard just like the rest. Hope we don't happen to see the same plight with MiniCAT

Actions speak louder than words. We need to stick on to it...

The World is Not Enough!!!

Now, this is really fascinating……… and it's great to see it presented in this way.

Antares is the 15th brightest star in the sky and it's more than 1000 light years away. So you see how small our world is……
