Photoshop Mazic...

Well... I always dreamt of havin the finest of the finest beers, ahem.. from the jazzy pubs of Los Angeles. A rendezvous to Los Angeles, courtesy Photoshop...

I am luvin it.....

Now that I am into Photoshop software.. wanted to have some real fun with it. A simple change of the background, plus a bottle or two of draught beer could change the whole scenario of what these two are upto.

The actual image, (my roomies, Sujith and Shibu) taken at some food joint in Spencer Plaza. The beverages served are strictly non-alcholic, to be precise, coffee and strawberry shake I guess.. Boy oh boy... from the very dazed eyes of the two, one can assume how stoned to the core both of them are...

Well... here'z the final touchup....

Well, the next time you spot me around with a swollen eye... no need to guess for too long.. courtesy in advance, the two punks shown above....

The Chennai Connexion

The wait is finally over. A huge sigh of relief at last. No more do I have to stand in long, unending queues at the crowded Internet cafe waiting for my turn nor do I have to whine about the slow and congested Internet connections they offer.

At 256 kbps speed, a pretty decent one, unlimited downloads, a broadband connection at my place, what else can I ask more for. It's you all fellas that keeps this blog chugging along. Thanks for all your support and constructive feedback....

The Flying Sniper

It happened yesterday, and it happened today, too. In 25 years of my life, I have seen millions of crows around showcasing their flying skills, scavenging and stealing, caw-cawing enough to awaken the whole neighborhood, but never anointed with crow droppings right on my head. I guess I was wrong in my assumption.

It all happened yesterday morning, after a sumptuous breakfast, walking outside, watching the blue sky and feeling the morning breeze, just when I was about to cross the busy road, I felt this so-called something (shit or crow droppings...whatever you call it) land on my shoulder. Clearly annoyed by this new tattoo on my favorite shirt, looking up to catch hold of the culprit, I saw this naughty darn crow perched atop a 30-foot lamp-post, flaunting a mischievous smile, turning its rear end at me asking,"You want more?" Helpless is the only word that I can add here. Nevertheless, I crossed the road thinking there's always a first time for anything.

Worse...... ditto today, this time sparing my shoulder, it was my head that was the target for this nasty little sniper crow.... Same time, same place, was not sure if it was the same old menacing crow. Still in disbelief about the whole affair, I then realized that this lamppost was fixed on the pavement right next to the zebra-crossing. A surge of joy ran through my body for a second, well aware of the fact that I am not the only victim being sniped by this little barbarian, there could be possibly many unlucky victims around, just like me. Anyways, there's no way that I am going to allow this thug to score a hat trick on me..... Pray for tomorrow. You never know, there's always a third time for anything... Hmphhh!!!

July 4 Fireworks!!!

Hey fellas.... if you wish you can skip off this section. Just thought of finishing off the July 4 significance. After the first adventure enroute to railway station, the worst was yet to come. My friend had asked me to drop him to the institution. I obliged of course, for two reasons, one, to be familiar with the places in Chennai, and two, I had no other choice, as my friend was bullying me.
At 9 in the morning, I could feel the scorching heat and the unending traffic jams creating chaos all around. Just when I realized I could squeeze my two-wheeler through the signal, all hell broke loose. A traffic policeman came charging towards me, took the keys from my bike casually and tossed it to his partner. I was clueless as to what exactly was happening around me. I tried convincing him, but to no avail. He was generous enough to shower quite a lot of terms on me like thug, moron, illiterate come-naughty and whatnot.. Well, I had to cough up 100 bucks to get out of the mess.

As if the above incident wasn't enough to add glory to the day, it all happened towards the fag end of the day, when I was scanning the city to get an apt congifuration for my PC. I parked my bike outside a shopping mall. An hour later, after paying the parking fee and a mile down or two on the way back home, I could sense the bike choking only to realize that someone had released the valve connecting the petrol tank and had slipped off with some good deal of petrol.

Well.... no point in crying over spilt milk. I ain't whining...Waaaaaaaaaaah....waaaaaaaaaaaaaah..

July 4 - A day not to be forgotten

July 4, a day known to many as Independence Day, honoring the birthday of the United States of America. To me, July 4 has a very special significance, for that very special day I was caught by the traffic police for so-called violation of traffic rules; for that very special day someone dared to steal some petrol from my bike that was parked outside a shopping mall, and it was a successful operation.... darn thugs; for that special day I rode nearly 10 miles or so deep down into the city only then to realize that I had left my purse at home, which holds my driving license, my ultra-precious credit card, which had expired say two years back..

July 4, for me, started off with a bang. I had to get up at around 5 in the morning, for I had to receive a friend from the railway station. Pulling up together, still half asleep, I ventured out into the fiery roads of Chennai. And Voila!!! At half past five, I could hardly find a soul driving down the road to give me company. Hehehe... I was loving my 12-mile ride, all the way to the railway station. Halfway through, to my horror, realized the fact that I had left my purse back home.
What seemed to be a cool, breezy trip now looked to be a mousetrap set at every corners of the road. Every traffic police for me now seemed to be a threatening obstacle. Luckily finished off the first obstacle, somehow managed to reach the station in time. No chikli for parking my bike nor for platform ticket. I had to forego both sitting on my bike staring at the station entrance waiting for my friend. And out pops my friend who had baggages that would require a mini cargo truck to transport it. We settled in for an auto, docking the cargo and the passenger into the mini three-wheeled auto. Now comes Phase II, I had to repeat the same old trick trying to evade from the cops enroute home, praying of course. Virtually everyone I saw in beige-colored trousers made me cold feet. Somehow made it back home after wading through tough waters........ to be continued... why I love July 4...
