Mr. Eat-it-All

Michel Lotito is a French entertainer. Lotito, who was born in Grenoble, is famous as the consumer of undigestables, and is known as Monsieur Mangetout (Mister Eat-it-all). Lotito's performances are the consumption of metal, glass, rubber and so on in items such as bicycles, televisions, a Cessna 150, and smaller items which are disassembled, cut-up and swallowed. The Cessna aircraft took roughly two years to be 'eaten' from 1978 to 1980. He began eating unusual material while a child and has been performing publicly since 1966.

Lotito does not often suffer from ill-effects due to his diet, even after the consumption of materials usually considered poisonous. When performing he consumes around a kilogram of material daily, preceding it with mineral oil and drinking considerable quantities of water during the 'meal'. He apparently possesses a stomach and intestine with walls of twice the expected thickness, and his digestive acids are, allegedly, unusually powerful, allowing him to digest a certain portion of his metallic meals.

Two moons!!!!

I am not sure if this is happening for real or just a trivial joke being passed around, but this coming 27th of August 2007, at 12.30 AM, look up the sky. You will see 2 moons. Believe it or not, up to you.

Starting August, planet Mars will be the brightest in the night sky. It will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. This will cultivate on Aug. 27 when Mars comes within 34.65M miles of earth. Be sure to watch the sky on Aug. 27 12:30 am . It will look like the earth has 2 moons. The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287.

P.S. Please don't shower any mighty curses on this poor chap if it turns out to be a hoax...

For the first time in India, a superstar is being animated. Sultan - the warrior, an animation movie, will feature Rajnikanth as a mythological, larger-than-life hero in a gripping action adventure film and will be replete with the stylized Rajnikanth mannersims and punch lines for which he is known and loved. The film is targeted at adults as well as kids, both in India and the rest of the world.

Sultan is directed by Soundarya Rajnikanth and features music by master composer AR Rahman and will launch in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and English. Do check out the trailer .. it's really cool.

The Chennai Connexion

The wait is finally over. A huge sigh of relief at last. No more do I have to stand in long, unending queues at the crowded Internet cafe waiting for my turn nor do I have to whine about the slow and congested Internet connections they offer.

At 256 kbps speed, a pretty decent one, unlimited downloads, a broadband connection at my place, what else can I ask more for. It's you all fellas that keeps this blog chugging along. Thanks for all your support and constructive feedback....
